recently found Pure from a recommendation from another board member and am so thankful. Upon entering i was immediately greeted and asked if I wanted tea while I filled out my intake information, classy touch.

I was referred to Melissa at Pure Salon and Spa by a friend and I will never go anywhere else! I recently had my hair cut and colored by Melissa and I can't believe how great my experience was! My friend was so right about how fabulous she is! I have super straight, pretty lifeless hair and when I left I felt like I was brand new! She not only listened to my needs and concerns, but gave me great recommendations on what she felt would flatter my skin tone and face shape! Not to mention, gave me instructions on how to use the products and tools necessary to achieve the same style at home! I am so pleased with the outcome of my service that I will definitely be returning and telling all of my girlfriends where I went! I am now an Aveda believer and am happy to say that my hair has never looked better! Melissa was awesome! Thanks so much for such a wonderful experience!

I had my hair cut and colored by Melissa Keeney and was very happy and impressed with all she did! I have very tempermental hair and am never quite sure what to do with it! But Melissa really listened and I felt really comfortable with her knowledge. In short she did an amazing color and cut my hair in a perfect style for my hair type and face shape! She was very friendly as well as the rest of the staff around me. I will definately go to her again. I have never had a stylist do my hair as well as her!! This salon in Irvington was way fun and after receiving the absolute Best Blonding service I had to write in and share my experience. Mathew is by far the coolest color specialist Ive ever met! My freinds and co-workers have been raving about my hair and I feel so lucky. Thank you Mathew!!!

This salon has the best team of stylist ever, everyone is great. I have been in serval times over the last two years and each time no matter who my stylist is the color comes out perfect! It's really the best color I have ever had. My hair is Red and I mean Red you could say on fire hot vibrant Red. I love it that way, usually my color would fade fast not last but not any more since I go to Pure. Wow what a difference they have made. They not only color my hair but they make sure and do "Hair Facials" to keep it looking and feeling like virgin hair. I'm tellin yah this team is great, great,great! So if you have Red hair and want it to look vibrant go to Pure. Youll be glad you did.

I'm usually not too picky about my haircuts, but once you get a real haircut from one of these highly trained stylists you never go back. Alex is the best stylist I've ever used and drive from Bend to get my haircuts there exclusively.

You will be welcomed and have your coat taken properly and given the whole Aveda experience. Many Kudos to Alex and Pure !

I just moved to Portland from Maryland and after a cross country drive, my hair needed help. I was really worried because I completely loved my previous salon and stylist. I found Pure because it is close to my house and I am so happy that I went there.

The receptionist is friendly and Melissa my stylist was the best. She completely talked me through all of my choices and really listened to what I wanted. I decided to cut my hair really short and she was super supportive (if you've ever gone short, you know how even though you made the choice losing all that hair is traumatic.) She is also great to talk to. You feel like you are hanging out with a friend.

I have gone back a second time and it was also great. When I need my next trim and color I am definitely calling to make an appointment with Melissa. When I paid I also had the receptionist say I was being generous with my tip, so I suppose they say that to everyone (though my tip was over 20% because Melissa is worth it). I will continue to go to this salon as long as I live in Portland and I would recommend it to anyone.

I recently moved from Dallas to Portland and I love it! I was recommended by a neighbor who loves Pure Salon & Spa so I thought I would give them a try and BOY was she RIGHT this is a great place with heplful and really nice people, I mean all of them from the front desk gal to the Stylist (Melissa) to my Waxing gal (Alex) to the Salon Manager (can't remember her name...sorry)! What I liked about Pure (besides all the friendly people) was the professional environment. I liked the fact that they have a full extensive menu of service and I respect the fact they have a 24 hour cancelation policy, because I too work in a client based business and if my clients dont give me enough time to fill that spot I can not occommodate other clients who can make their appointed times.

The Salon & Spa is very Clean and Beautiful, my services where on time and they made me feel very welcome by offering me hot tea. Melissa really listened to what I wanted done with my hair, I have very long and straight (not to mention fine hair) hair that just seems to hang. Melissa gave me the best style I have ever had and now my hair looks and feel amazing! Alex was the ONLY ONE whose has ever been able to wax my brows without it being so painful! Bravo Alex! I will be back again and again!

I just wanted to take some time to comment on the great hair color i received there at Pure. I was referred by a team member to Mathew and cannot say enough positives about his style, service and technique. He got me back to a very healthy tone that i thought was gone for good. Thank you Mathew - and thank you Pure.

I must say that if you are looking for the best....look no further and make sure you have Kellye take care of all your salon needs. She keeps my hair looking its best. I am now absolutely satisfied with my (what was sometimes unmanageable) hair. I buy all my hair products (without presure sales) and love the Aveda hair line so much that I would not think of buying anything else. Kellye will also give you the unbelieveable waxing services. She is not only professional about my waxing services and have a great personality to boot!! She the BEST!!! Don't look any further!

I received a gift cerfiticate to Pure Salon & Spa and thought goodie I get to spend the day at the spa....I had no idea how wonderful this day was gonna be.

Kelly helped me get a skin care routine and recommended what products to start me with ...she really knows her stuff . I can't wait for my next gift certificate ..I hope I get one for Christmas! Hint hint if any one in my family is reading this! LOL. Please all I want for Christmas is a Pure Salon & Spa Gift Certificate.

I just had an appointment with Melissa at Pure Salon for hair color. It was amazing!!! My hair was a yucky dirty blond and when she was done with me I was a gorgeous brunette! My hair is perfect for my skin tone... and I feel just wonderful! Even weeks later the color is just as bright and my hair is still incredibly soft and manageable! I will from now on get my hair colored by Melissa! She is amazing and she made the process so nice! The salon was very nice too...I was offered tea and it was a very peaceful atmosphere....Very relaxing! Also the Salon Manager was so nice and upbeat! Everyone was complementing me on my hair when I left. I would recommend this salon and Melissa to everyone!!!!

I just have to share it with the world ..this is the best salon in Portland! I mean every thing from the front desk gal greeting me with a big smile and asking to take my coat and offering me this amazing Aveda Tea(fantastic by the way) to the great Stylist (Matthew) who ...well all I can say is I have been to a lot of salon in hopes to find some one who can understand the complexity of my wavey hair and he nailed it...it has never been so managiable and behaved so well and the Aveda products I just love how they make my hair feel! Oh and I forgot to mention the great scalp massage they do...out of this world...you just have to go and experience this place for yourself! Every one there is very knowledgeable on products ...I of course had lots of questions about hair & skin products and between Matthew and the front desk gal they were able to get products to help me in both of my areas of concern and I just have to say they were right on with their recommandations I love all the products I bought and they work! So go now Right Now and get an appointment with Matthew you won't be sorry he knows his stuff! Pure is now the only place I will go!

Pure is my favorite salon ever because the artists who work with your hair, nails, and body aren't only incredibly talented. They continue to learn about new things, they take their time, but most of all they're KIND people. They CARE about you and WANT you to feel good and look great. Jennifer is THE BEST! Melissa is WONDERFUL! Kelly is FABULOUS! There is also a very sweet man who's name escapes me right now and he is GREAT! I can say that because I watch the people walk out and they all look terrific. Go To PURE. You won't be sorry. Plus it's Aveda.

I love this salon--I have gone in for haircuts and coloring, plus manicures. I am always impressed with the service! When you walk in the door they greet you and are ready to help you find whatever you need or to set an appointment. My hair is a bit unruly at times and needs some special kinds of texture--and the people at Pure know how to deal with it, with a smile. I love how nice everyone is and how they remember my name and my wild hair, too! Everyone is so outgoing--not only whoever is doing my hair, but also the other stylists and the people at the front desk. I always walk out feeling good!!
